It advertises 10, PPI, but that grossly exaggerates its capability. This scanner was a real piece of cake to set up. See details for additional description. We have been less thrilled with the main Scan utility, but the problem is the interface rather than the functionality. Is it a big difference between Minolta Dimage Elite II and Elite 5400 scanners?
Might be better to wait for the next model, when hopefully di,age have the mechanics worked out. This item is not eligible for international shipping. Both of the scanners are going within my budget, but I still not sure – what to get We didn’t find much fault with the ‘s negative conversion and there’s little evidence of the new Film Expert Algorithm in the II. So in this respect in the author’s opinion, this is a more secure scanning setup for microscope slides than for the Coolscan with homemade holder.
